I got reel for bait finesse “16 ALDEBARAN BFS XG” interior II -SHIMANO-
This time let`s check around spool and break.
In previous article, we had checked exterior of reel.
This time, let`s see the interior parts, spool and FTB break.
Where is the magnet break!?
The parts of brake are on the side plate.
It difficult to see from this angle, under the gold plate, you can see 3 magnets which look like a button battery. These are magnets.
Another side also has 3 magnets. When you buy it, it comes with 6 magnet breaks installed.
Also you can add 2 extra magnet break for increase break power.
Like this , magnets are set in side plate.
This spool named Unitless spool, for get minimum weight, this spool does not equip almost nothing. The spool has a hole for reduce weight. But break side of spool does not have hole for break efficiently.
It has just bearing.
This side does not have nothing.
The spool weights more or less 8 g.
LIke this way, connect side plate and spool.
The spool sets into magnet breaks.
For adjust magnet break, just turn the dial of outside.
For adjust magnet break FTB, just you have to turn exterior dial.
You can control the strength of brake variably. You can set the strength which you want.
The break part move from side to side, when you adjust exterior dial.
Now it`s in 0 break position.
Now is in max break position. You can see the break part comes out.
Like this way, the magnet affect to wider surface of spool for break strongly.
It`s difficult to explain, so let`s see the illust of SHIMANO.
You may understand well the system much better than with my words.
The part of magnet can transfer.
It has system of transfer of magnet. This part of the magnet transfers depend on the speed of rotation of spool. When the rotation speed of spool increase, the magnet go closing to spool and break strongly.
Here you can see the video which I made.
Sooner I will do comparison between ALDEBARAN BFS and SS Air of DAIWA.
