In March I went to small stream in Ibaraki prefecture with my friends.
That day was so cold, temperature was 5~8 degrees.
This river has source in Lake Ushiku-numa.
Width of this stream is 3~5m, shore was covered by dry reeds.
Depth 30cm to 150cm.
That day I choosed “Be Free Texas-rig” I wanted catch fish with this rig for the first time.
We started fishing at 6:00 in the morning. 2 hours past since we started, but no bites.
Before change place , walking to my car I found good place covered with tree and inflow water from rice field.
I casted “Be Free Texas-rig” setted Escape Little Twin of Nories in irregular current under tree, shaking rod and stay, shaking rod and stay I was repeating like this. Then I noticed line pulled. It was so clear bite.
Here I catched first “Be Fre Texas-rig” fish!!
Fish size 35cm.
See you soon cute bass!
Later we changed place and we tried fishing in this kind of small stream, but during 3 hours no bites….
Again we changed river…
Then my friend fished casting around sunken boat.
He was using Splitshot-rig with Padtue of Nories.
This Padtue is tube type softbaits which able to imitate escaping shrimp.
