Comparison of spool and feeling of handle rotation “16 ALDEBARAN BFS XG” and “SS AIR”
Today I will compare new reel “16 ALDEBARAN BFS XG” which I bought another day and baitfinesse reel of DAIWA “SS AIR”.
2 popular baitfinesse reels.
“16 ALDEBARAN BFS XG”SHIMANO and “SS AIR” DAIWA
The typified baitfinesse reel of SHIMANO and DAIWA.
These 2 models are very popular in Japan.
I got both.
This time let`s compare spools of these 2 reels.
Comparison of spools.
I open side plate.
You can see the Daiwa has parts in shaft but Shimano`s shft is empty.
I putted off spools.
Spool of ALDEBARAN (black) does not have nothing parts, but SS AIR has brake parts on shaft. The black case which wrote SS AIR is bake parts case.
Another side of spool. ALDEBARAN has long shaft.
Comparison of side plates.
The left side is ALDEBARAN, as spool side does not have parts, all break parts on the side plate.
I checked the weight of these 2 spools.
The left is ALDEBARAN and right side is SS AIR.
Put off all parts from spools , only spool weight is ALDEBARAN weight 7.2g and SS AIR weight 6.9g on the official page.
SS AIR has better feeling of rotation of handle. Feel more smooth.
Both reels are very compact and easy to grab on hand.
SS AIR has smoother rotation of handle. It`s possible cause of I use it during long time putting oils in gear.
And everyone say, it`s different feeling of rotation these 2 companies, SHIMANO and DAIWA.
For me, I felt better with rotation od DAIWA. But I have to check again with ALDEBARAN after use few month.
